Who We Are

Homegrown in the City of Pines

Il-lengan Cafe is a homegrown Baguio cafe — born from a genuine love of good coffee and the spirit of this mountain city. The name is rooted in the local character of Baguio, pronounced with the warmth of the community that shaped it.

We are grateful to share this journey with you. What began as a small dream upstairs became a place where students pull out their laptops, friends linger over lattes, and strangers slowly become regulars. Every cup brewed here carries that intention — no rush, no pressure, just comfort and good company.

Baguio has always been a city of stories: of poets, artists, mountaineers, and dreamers. Il-lengan is our contribution to that story — a corner where freshly roasted coffee meets the cool pine-scented air, and every seat feels made just for you.

The Beginning

A Dream Takes Root

Il-lengan Cafe was born from a simple desire: to create a cafe that felt genuinely Baguio — not a franchise, not a copy, but something rooted in the soul of the city of pines.

Opening Day

Doors Open Upstairs

We opened our doors to Baguio with freshly roasted coffee, a handful of tables, and a lot of heart. The community responded with warmth we hadn't dared hope for.

Growing Together

A Community Cafe Emerges

Students, creatives, professionals, and travellers all found their way upstairs. Il-lengan became more than a cafe — it became a gathering place, a study room, a slow-morning ritual.

We Heard You

We listened when you told us about the chairs. We listened when you asked for more outlets. Every improvement we have made has come from the community that chose to call this place theirs.
